Acne scars are a source of frustration and embarrassment for many people, male and female. The social stigma on acne is that it comes from just not being clean or eating right and this just isn’t the case. Dermatologists still do not fully understand the causes of acne. Heredity stress, and hormones do play a part in causing acne. The sad part is that the scars stay with a person long after the acne is gone. There are skin care treatments for scars of all types and some are natural.
Scar products are available over-the-counter that contain the dangerous chemicals alpha hydroxyl and beta hydroxyl. These chemicals can give sensitive skin immediate damage, but they are harsh to any skin. They are effective, so if you decide to use them, do so under the advice and care of a dermatologist. Just because of their over-the-counter status, this doesn’t mean that they are 100% safe.
The natural vitamin based approach takes longer, but is far less dangerous. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E are the most prominent natural treatments applied to scars. Some are taken in pill form and others, like Vitamin E oil are directly applied to the skin. Vitamin B, B3, And B6 are also commonly used. These will get rid of the red scars and improve your immune system to protect against further outbreaks. These do not help with the deep pitting and brown scars. These scars do not heal and you may need to consult with a dermatologist for further consultation to remove or lessen them.
As with any vitamins, taking more than the recommended amount will not increase the effectiveness. Overdosing on vitamins can be as dangerous as any other medicine. If a vitamin overdose does not harm you, it is still a waste of money because your system will flush out the amount that it cannot readily absorb.
Always attempt scar cures that are natural before resorting to harmful chemicals. As difficult as scar removal can be, there is a chance that you will need to resort to harsh measures, but why not try a method that can cause no harm first. Scar treatment with natural vitamins is far less expensive and vitamins improve your overall health at the same time.
